A must for every visitor cafe in Vienna. The founder of the cozy cafes, Leopold Hawelka, recently celebrated his 95th Birthday, and in 1906 set up by his pupil Adolf Loos facility has remained unchanged.

Famous but not just the buns, but also the visitors of the cafe. Many writers, musicians and artists have made the cafe Hawelka their second home, including Torberg Friedrich, Ernst Fuchs, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, HC Artmann, Gerhard Ruhm, Helmut Qualtinger and Andre Heller. Even celebrities from abroad visited the Cafe Hawelka their stays in Vienna: Elias Canetti, Henry Miller, Arthur Miller and Andy Warhol, to name a few.
